The FMCSA recommends that all drivers first certify their record of duty status (RODS) before logging off of their ELDs and shutting down their engines. If you don't follow this recommendation, malfunction codes may occur. For example, you may experience indicators of unaccounted odometer changes and suspicious driving activity. For detailed information on how to certify your logs, go here: Certifying A Day's Logs.
