Editing a Fleet Profile

This article covers how to edit the information in your fleet profile. Fleet profiles include information like carrier name, DOT number, home terminal address, HOS ruleset, timezone, and 24-hour period start time.
  1. Click on the Fleet Profile menu option. The Fleet Profile screen displays.

  1. Edit this information for your fleet:
  • Carrier Name: Edit the carrier's name for the fleet.
  • DOT #: Edit the Department of Transportation number for the fleet.
  • HOS Ruleset: Choose the ruleset that your fleet uses for FMCSA compliance. These options are available:
    • USA 60 hour 7 day: Seven consecutive days means the period of seven consecutive days beginning on any day at the time designated by the motor carrier for a 24-hour period.
    • USA 70 hour / 8 day: Eight consecutive days means the period of eight consecutive days beginning on any day at the time designated by the motor carrier for a 24-hour period.
  • Allow yard moves: Enable this option if you would like the ELDs in your fleet to be able to log and record yard moves. "Yard moves" are any slow, short movements that a driver makes while not driving a route. For example, if a driver wants to move his or her truck around the yard without being put into a driving status, the ELD would record a yard move. If you enable this option, drivers can choose the "Yard Move" status before they move their trucks a very short distance. Then, when drivers move their trucks, the motion does not change their status to "driving."
  • Allow personal conveyance: Enable this option if you would like the ELDs in your fleet to be able to use personal conveyance. Disable this option if you would not like the ELDs in the fleet to use personal conveyance. "Personal conveyance" is any time a driver operates a commercial motor vehicle to do personal things.
  1. After you're done making changes, click the Save button. Your changes are saved.
